Lifelong Learning Starts Early

The College of Southern Idaho’s Head Start / Early Head Start programs provide services that help promote healthy childhood development, ensure school readiness, and strengthen families in our communities.

Creating life-long learners starts early, which is why the College of Southern Idaho offers programs designed to suit children of different ages and developmental stages.

Strengthening Southern Idaho Families

Head Start / Early Head Start at the College of Southern Idaho exists to build stronger families through programs that support:

• Early Learning & Development

CSI Head Start / Early Head Start programs help facilitate a smooth transition to kindergarten for every child. We do this by working with children, families, and school districts to set kids up for success.

• Physical & Emotional Health

All children who attend Head Start / Early Head Start receive nutritious meals as well as health and development screenings. Families are connected to medical, dental, and mental health resources to ensure children are receiving the care and attention they need.

• Family Well-Being

Parents and families are their children’s first educators. Parents and families are offered program services to support family well-being and to achieve family goals, such as housing stability, continued education, and financial security.
